Bodhi Addiction Treatment & Wellness publishes informational content to help families and individuals navigate the addiction treatment landscape. This page documents who writes our content, how we source it, how we review it, and what our content is — and isn’t — designed to do.

Editorial leadership

Jonathan Beazley, CADC-CAS, M-RAS, CCMI-i — Founder and Editorial Lead. Jonathan holds three credentials in addiction care: Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor / Certified Addiction Specialist (CADC-CAS), Master Registered Addiction Specialist (M-RAS), and Certified Clinical Medical Interventionist (CCMI-i). He has placed hundreds of California families into treatment through Bodhi’s vetted network of partner programs.

Marissa Katrin, MBA — Editorial Reviewer. Marissa leads marketing and editorial review at Relative Marketing Group, with a vertical focus on behavioral health publishers. Every Bodhi article goes through editorial review before publishing.

Sourcing standards

Statistical claims, clinical descriptions, and process explanations on this site cite primary sources where possible. Acceptable sources include:

  • National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA)
  • National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH)
  • Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA)
  • American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM)
  • American Psychological Association (APA)
  • Peer-reviewed journals indexed on PubMed
  • State licensing authorities (in California, the Department of Health Care Services / DHCS)
  • Federal and state government health agencies

We do not cite content marketing produced by treatment facilities, aggregator listicles without primary sourcing, or wellness influencers without addiction medicine credentials. Our network of partner programs is described accurately and disclosed when referenced; we do not produce listicle-style “best rehabs” content that mixes paid and partner placements.

Content review cadence

Articles are written by Jonathan or by staff under Jonathan’s review. Marissa Katrin, MBA performs editorial review prior to publishing. Articles making specific clinical claims are flagged for additional medical review where appropriate.

Published articles are reviewed annually for currency. Articles touching on regulatory, insurance, or pricing topics are reviewed semi-annually given the higher rate of change in those areas. The “Last updated” date reflected on the article is the date of the most recent substantive review or update.

Scope of authority

Bodhi Addiction Treatment & Wellness is a treatment consulting and referral service based in Capitola, California. We are not a treatment facility — we evaluate clients’ clinical needs and place them into programs within our vetted network. Our content is therefore designed to help families and individuals make informed decisions about addiction treatment.

Content on this site is informational. It is not intended as, and should not be substituted for:

  • Individualized clinical advice from a licensed treatment professional
  • Legal advice regarding involuntary commitment, custody, employment, or insurance disputes
  • Financial or insurance advice; specific coverage determinations should be made through formal verification with the insurer
  • Emergency medical care
